Aretè & Cocchi Technology is seeking a Static Equipment Thermal Design Engineer in Milan, Italy. This role involves designing and reviewing heat exchangers while contributing to the energy transition.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. The position offers home office contracts starting from €45,000, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and a hybrid working model.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years as Static Equipment Thermal Engineer with main contracting & engineering companies.
• Basic knowledge of calculation codes relevant to pressure equipment (ASME Sect.VIII).

Mansioni

• Perform thermal design (sizing) of heat exchangers.
• Conduct critical reviews of general specifications and vendor bids.
• Prepare necessary layouts and technical bid evaluation documents.

Conoscenze

Knowledge of air cooled heat exchangers

Knowledge of shell & tube heat exchangers

Experience in thermal design and thermal rating

As Static Equipment Thermal Design Engineer, you will respond to the Head of Mechanical Department and be part of the ENCAR.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Knowledge of air cooled heat exchangers regulated by API 661 and ISO 13706 standards.
• Knowledge of shell & tube heat exchangers regulated by API 660 and TEMA standards.
• Experience and ability to carry out the following EPC Contractor activities: critical review of general specifications (Client’s/Licensor’s /Others’), thermal design (sizing) and thermal rating of air cooled heat exchangers and shell & tube heat exchangers through HTRI Xchanger Suite (default software) or other software upon request, completion of API 661 and TEMA style thermal datasheet through incorporation of all data from thermal design activities, for shell & tube heat exchangers, preparation of tubesheet layout through HTRI or other software and submission to the mechanical specialist, for air cooled heat exchangers, preparation of Layout Drawing, management of possible Client comments to the thermal design, contribution to the technical evaluation of vendor bids for air cooled heat exchangers, shell & tube heat exchangers and proprietary heat exchangers, and subsequent issue of the Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) document package.

What are we looking for?

Education: Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience: minimum 5 years as Static Equipment Thermal Engineer with International Main Contracting & Engineering Companies

Technical/IT Skills:

Basic knowledge of the main calculation codes relevant to pressure equipment (ASME Sect.VIII Division 1 code, as a minimum).
