Saipem is seeking a Static Equipment Engineer for the ENCAR Business line in Milano, offering a hybrid work model with worldwide travel. The role requires a master’s or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and at least five years’ experience with international contracting and engineering firms.

As Static Equipment Engineer you will be part of the ENCAR Business line.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Perform technical tasks assigned by the Static Equipment Lead, related to design, verification or study activities of Storage Tanks, Air Coolers, Reactors, Columns, Vessels and Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers;
• Co-ordinate some technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem (i.e., Review Client technical documentation and requirements, Control subcontracted discipline engineering documents;)
• Perform the follow up of supplies with the selected Vendor after the Purchase Order award;
• Perform the estimation of each item (weight/cost);
• Prepare detail engineering documentation in compliance with the process requirements and technical specifications (equipment mechanical data sheets, etc.
• Optimize the technical solutions ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance.

What are we looking for?

Education: Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience: Proven experience (at least 5 years) in the same or similar positions with International Main Contracting & Engineering Companies

Technical Skills/IT Skills: familiarity with PC software for Office Automation and Software for Mechanical Equipment Design (i.e. PV Elite, Compress, or similar)
