Saipem is seeking a Piping Material Engineer to join the ENCAR Business Line, within Layout and Piping engineering. You will work on FEED and EPC projects, applying international piping standards and developing line specifications.

Key tasks include defining material specifications from contract docs, issuing technical requisitions, evaluating bids, managing supplier docs, and providing site assistance. Willingness to travel worldwide.

Competenze

• Master's or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Material Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of piping material engineering experience.
• Proficiency in English.

Mansioni

• Define piping material specifications starting from contractual documentation.
• Issue material requisitions (technical supply specifications) for piping components.
• Issue technical bid evaluations on piping components.
• Manage supplier documentation downstream of order issue.
• Provide site assistance.

Purpose of the position

As Piping Material Engineer you will be part of the ENCAR Business Line, within Layout and Piping engineering team. The position requires knowledge of international standards in the field of piping components and experience in the design of line specification (piping class), resulting in the ability to independently develop your tasks.

• Definition of piping material specifications starting from contractual documentation;
• Issuing material requisition (technical supply specification) for purchasing piping components;
• Issuing technical bid evaluation on piping components;
• Managing supplier documentation downstream of order issue;
• Site assistance.

What are we looking for?

The Piping Material Engineer will work on FEED and EPC projects in compliance with the required deadlines. The candidate will be able to move in a context characterized by a marked presence of technical software’s and digital platform to aid design and material management.

Education

Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering or similar qualification

Background

3 years as a piping material engineer in similar context

Languages

Proficiency in English

Technical/IT Knowledge

PUMA, Aveva ERM, Smart Plant Material, Office, Knowledge of International standards such as ASME/ASTM/EN and customer standards (Saudi Aramco / Shell / …), Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.

What else should you know?

Some travelling will be expected within Worldwide.
