Aretè & Cocchi Technology in Fano is seeking a Piping Flexibility Engineer to join their Piping Layout Team. The successful candidate will be involved in Stress Analysis and Support calculations within FEED and EPC projects, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.

The role includes performing calculations of critical piping networks, issuing technical specifications, and coordinating with other engineers to harmonize design methodologies. A hybrid working model is offered, promoting flexibility and better work-life balance.

Competenze

  • Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Background: University projects or internship within mechanical engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic material knowledge and structural basic calculation.

Stage - Piping Flexibility Engineer FANO

As a Piping Flexibility Engineer, you will be part of the ENCAR Business line within Saipem Fano, Piping Layout Team. You will support the development of Stress Analysis and Supports calculation in FEED and EPC projects.

Responsibilities
  • Execute activities within your area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
  • Analyse and understand tender documentation.
  • Perform preliminary calculations of critical piping networks.
  • Issue Purchase Requisition for market investigation and perform technical bid comparison.
  • Elaborate piping mechanical quantity (quantity to be installed) and piping budget quantity (quantity to be purchased).
  • Support the definition of engineering hours.
  • Set up software to be used.
  • Be responsible for the quality, respect of budget and project schedule for piping flexibility analysis tasks.
  • Review client technical documentation and requirements.
  • Design all piping support components.
  • Issue project stress analysis and piping support specification.
  • Identify critical lines (add to project line list or dedicated critical line list).
  • Perform calculations of critical piping networks.
  • Issue loads to allow design of pipe‑rack and foundations.
  • Issue technical specifications for requisition of all piping support components.
  • Issue technical bid evaluation for all piping support component offers.
  • Review and approve vendor documents.
  • Plan Purchase Requisition issue according to project schedule, managing the whole cycle including material requisition, technical enquiry package, purchase requisition, and technical bid evaluation.
  • Attach technical documents into SAP.
  • Maintain project technical files and update company standards.
  • Review activities and deliverables produced by engineering subcontractors.
  • Check isometrics for construction of critical lines.
  • Capitalize piping flexibility activities performed during the project.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Assist, when necessary, with engineering adjustments on site.
  • Coordinate and provide input to discipline leads and other Piping Flexibility Engineers to harmonize design and methodologies.
  • Provide support to projects and procurements to solve non‑standard problems.
  • Define modification of department workflow and technical standards.
  • Participate in modification of company workflow and technical standards.
  • Collect project feedback for continuous improvement implementation (lesson learned).
  • Participate in vendor and outsourcing qualification.
  • Participate in project/company procurement strategy (purchasing team).
  • Develop and scout tools for design activities enhancement.
