Moleskine is seeking an intern to join the Strategic Partnership Sales Team in Milan, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on business development in Art & Culture, Educational, and Iconic Brands sectors, supporting client outreach and proposal development across Europe and the EMEA region.

The intern will conduct desk research, prepare materials, and help design tailored offers while collaborating with sales and marketing to drive campaigns and events.

Competenze

  • Academic background in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related fields.
  • Fluent or near-native English is essential (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ability to create compelling presentations with precision.
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical thinking; effective communication.

We are looking for a person who will join Moleskine as a SP Business Development & Sales support.

The position is hybrid based in Milan.

Scope of the role

The intern will support the Strategic Partnership Sales Team (EMEA) in business development activities with a focus on the three strategic pillars: Art & Culture, Educational and Iconic Brands. The role combines precision, research, and creativity, helping to identify new opportunities and provide alternative solutions to support the team across Europe and EMEA.

Main activities
  • Help in conduct desk analysis to build and maintain a database of contacts within selected industries and professional roles across EMEA.
  • Participate in client calls and meetings, supporting the team in preparing materials, taking notes, and following up on agreed actions.
  • Support the development of commercial propositions and client proposals, contributing to the preparation of tailored offers, pricing documents, and presentation materials.
  • Conduct prospecting activities based on a shared business development strategy, identifying and qualifying potential clients across target industries and markets supported by LinkedIn and other research tools.
  • Contribute to the preparation of business development materials (emails, presentations, brand analyses) for the sales team and, when required, contact potential prospects directly.
  • Contribute in planning and execution of sector-specific promotional campaigns (e.g., agendas, Black Friday, year-end promotions).
  • Support the team in small data analysis, e.g., reviewing incoming demand to identify trends or potential opportunities.
  • Give added value in the creation and enhance of PowerPoint presentations, improving structure and visual quality.
  • Contribute in research and analyze sector trade fairs and events for prospecting activities planned for late 2026 and 2027, starting from and expanding existing lists.
Requirements
  • Academic background: Preferably a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related fields.
  • Languages: Fluent or near-native English is essential (written and spoken).
  • IT skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); creativity and precision in preparing presentations.
  • Soft skills: Excellent organizational and research skills, strong attention to detail, structured and analytical mindset, ability to propose creative solutions, and effective communication.
Nice to have
  • Experience in market research, sales support, or data analysis.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or marketing automation platforms.
  • Additional European or MEA language skills
Training Objectives

By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to deliver:

  • Identify and qualify prospective clients based on a shared strategy, contributing to pipeline generation across selected industries and markets.
  • Develop structured databases of qualified contacts and industry events, segmented by country.
  • Prepare professional and reusable presentations and materials for promotional campaigns.
  • Enhance and refine basic presentations, ensuring they meet visual and branding standards.
  • Conduct effective desk research and data analysis, contributing insights to the sales team.
  • Support the preparation of commercial propositions and economic offers, contributing to the development of tailored client proposals and value propositions.
  • Participate in client calls and meetings, supporting preparation activities, documenting key takeaways, and following up on agreed actions.
