Datalogic is seeking a Project Buyer based in Monte San Pietro (BO) to lead R&D sourcing during new product development and coordinate with Purchasing.

You will drive supplier selection, support quality, cost and delivery targets, and perform make-or-buy analyses; coordinate tool and sample prototyping; ensure timely project milestones. Fluent Italian and English; 2–3 years in similar roles are required.

Project Buyer

Datalogic is offering a Project Buyer role, reporting to the Project Sourcing Supervisor, he / she will collaborate with the Purchasing area. This position will be based at Monte San Pietro (BO).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead R&D sourcing activities and processes during new product development;
• Support to achieve supplier Quality, Cost and delivery targets and execute Sourcing and Procurement actions in each project;
• Apply commodity sourcing strategy for project components;
• Make or buy analysis;
• Schedule and coordinate the prototyping of tools and product samples (Alpha, Beta and Pilot build);
• Ensure all project check point phases closure on time;
• Supplier tooling management for NPD projects (Mould negotiations, confirmation of possession of Datalogic materials);
• Implementing technical saving initiatives;
• KPI's: Project Cost, Project schedule, Saving initiatives.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or master's degree in technical discipline (mechanical or electronics) or in economic related fields;
• Languages: Fluent Italian and English; written and verbal communication;
• Experience: 2 – 3 years in similar roles.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Base Salary (RAL): 36,000 – 39,000
• Variable compensation

• The final compensation package (including base salary and potential variable incentives) will be defined based on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, and overall fit for the role.
