Datalogic is seeking a Global Commodity Manager for Electronics based in Monte San Pietro (BO), reporting to the Head of Global Direct Commodity Management. You will lead a team of Commodity Buyers, create and implement global strategies, and drive cost, quality and delivery performance.

Responsibilities include developing commodity strategies, aligning with functions, implementing supplier programs, setting targets, ensuring contractual coverage, and budgeting direct materials cost and OPEX.

Competenze

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Languages: Fluent Italian and English; written and verbal communication.
• Experience: 4–8 years in a similar role.

Career Opportunities: Global Commodity Manager Electronics (11575)

Datalogic is offering a Global Commodity Manager Electronics role, reporting to the Head of Global Direct Commodity Management.

This role will direct the procurement function to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimum cost, and within the policies and guidelines established by management.

Responsible for cost, quality and delivery performance of the Electronics Commodity. This position will be based at Monte San Pietro (BO).

Role Mission:

The Global Commodity Manager Electronics leads a team of Commodity Buyers within the assigned commodity. He/She creates and implements global commodity strategy. Responsible for cost, quality and delivery performance of the assigned commodity. Manage supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Commodity Managers


• Develop and align commodity strategy with other functions in line with business needs


• Ensure global implementation of commodity strategy


• Introduce new technologies and new suppliers


• Set cost and delivery targets for suppliers of assigned commodity


• Ensure commodity contractual coverage


• Ensure commodity compliance with company rules and policies


• Support the improvement of processes and standards in collaboration with Business Improvement Team


• Plan annual budget of direct materials cost, OPEX for the assigned commodity

KPIs:

• Commodity direct materials cost saving


• Commodity delivery performance (OTD and lead time)


• Commodity strategy implementation


• Commodity contractual coverage


• Commodity COPQ (recorded value and % of recharge)

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Engineering


• Languages: Fluent Italian and English; written and verbal communication.


• Experience: 4 – 8 years in a similar role

• Solid technical knowledge of electronics components


• Ability to interact technically with R&D team


• Capability to define and implement commodity strategies


• Knowledge of electronic semiconductors market


• Competence in contract and supplier agreements


• Analysis and reporting skills

• Good knowledge of SAP is a plus
