Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Staff Engineer, Project Engineering - Systems to join the Industrial & Energy Technology team in Florence area. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering support for opportunities from concept through early commercialization, collaborating with AE, DTI and commercial teams.

You will drive risk identification/mitigation, promote digital tools and automation, and mentor VDR/ITO activities while traveling internationally to meet customers.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in turbomachinery engineering & technology; in-depth knowledge of energy markets.
• Knowledge of machine mechanical design, system and auxiliaries design.
• Experience in technical risk management (HAZOP, FMEA, etc.).
• Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
• Innovative mindset with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and Italian; EU work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interface for multidisciplinary engineering for opportunities development.
• Lead and support deal reviews as the engineering entry point covering risks and mitigations.
• Identify best solutions with Application Engineering to meet CTQs and enable early commercialization.
• Promote digital growth through tools, automated processes and efficiency improvements.
• Support ITO/OTR activities and coordinate with AE/DTI, engineering leaders.
