Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Senior Engineer to drive design and packaging projects in our Industrial & Energy Technology team. You will coordinate between Instrumentation Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Suppliers to ensure compliant, scalable designs and flawless execution.

The role emphasizes reducing defects, improving yield, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in instrumentation engineering within industrial, energy, process, or manufacturing environments.
• Solid knowledge of instrumentation design processes, engineering tools, and applicable industry codes and standards.
• Experience collaborating with Manufacturing, Procurement, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation installation practices, including cable routing and equipment integration.
• Experience with engineering lifecycle management tools, ERP systems, and product data management environments (e.g., Oracle, PLM).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between Instrumentation Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Electrical Packager Suppliers.
• Ensure technical compliance, execution readiness, and scalable design solutions that support business growth and project execution for packaging activities.
• Lead initiatives to reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and strengthen supplier integration.
• Design electrical and instrumentation systems and arrangements in compliance with international standards for assigned projects.
