Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Staff Engineer, Project Engineering to support the IET team in Italy. The role focuses on leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts, advancing new products, and enabling efficient proposal development while coordinating with global teams.

You will drive technical risk assessment, promote digital tooling, and mentor teams in a fast-changing environment, traveling internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in turbomachinery engineering and energy markets.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project environments as System/Design/Project Engineer.
• Knowledge of machine mechanical design, systems and auxiliaries.
• Experience in technical risk management (FMEA, HAZOP).
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work with multiple functions.
• Fluency in English and Italian; EU work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical interface for multidisciplinary teams to support project opportunities.
• Lead Deal Review process and identify risks and mitigations.
• Identify best solutions to meet CTQs with Application Engineering.
• Promote digital growth by developing automated processes and digital tools.
• Coordinate and coach VDR cross-reference team.
• Support PCB changes and LL obligations in ITO/OTR contexts.
• Assist in risk management and handoffs between ITO and OTR.
