Job summary
Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Senior Engineer in Italy to design a Combustion Mechanical System focused on low-emission technology and energy transition solutions. You will work closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Materials teams to advance technology from concept through validation, using CAD tools and rigorous analysis.
The role requires 5+ years of engineering experience, 3D modeling, FEA, and fluency in Italian and English.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- 3D modeling and CAD proficiency.
- FEA experience.
- Knowledge of design processes and tools.
- Fluency in Italian and English; EU work permit.
Responsibilities
- Design a Combustion Mechanical System for low-emissions tech.
- Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, and Materials teams.
- Develop technology through concept to validation with lab testing and field review.
- Perform CAD modeling and drafting support.
- Conduct structural/thermal hand calculations for stresses and life.
- Coordinate global engineering teams and engage with Sourcing and Supply chain.
- Lead outsourcing of engineering work and CBM activities with Service Engineering.
- Present ideas and analysis results in design reviews and sign-offs.
- Document work in design record books.
