Brainfield Italia in Italy seeks a Senior Process Engineer for its Albese con Cassano plant. You will oversee process design, scale up, and PDP development in coordination with R&D and Operations, driving energy savings and reliability improvements while mentoring junior staff.

Competenze

• 5–10 years of process engineering experience in chemical plants.
• Experience in reactor design, separation processes, heat exchangers, and solids/slurry handling.
• Knowledge of key international engineering standards.

• Oversee experimental design and identify potential operational issues, ensuring instrumentation validation.
• Generate and analyze data to monitor plant performance, identify bottlenecks and critical parameters, and propose tests.
• Develop scalable solutions for major licensors and EPC contractors.

For a growing deep-tech client company in the PET depolymerization sector, we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer for the plant of Albese con Cassano (Como).

The role involves responsibility for process scalability and completing the Process Design Package (PDP) in collaboration with R&D and Operations teams.

Responsibilies

• Oversee experimental design and identify potential operational issues, ensuring the validation of instrumentation
• Generate and analyze significant amounts of data to monitor plant performance, identify bottlenecks and critical parameters, and propose tests to find solutions and remedies
• Develop scalable solutions of interest to major industry licensors, primarily EPC contractors and other industrial entities in the sector
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure process improvements are communicated and implemented across the organization
• Identify and develop improvement solutions focused on energy savings, material and cost optimization, increased process reliability, and reduced environmental impact
• Supervise junior colleagues, ensuring tasks are executed correctly and individual skill sets are enhanced
• Collaborate with potential new suppliers and/or third parties to continuously improve proprietary technology and the production process

Requirements

• 5–10 years of prior experience as a process engineer in a related field or with other licensors
• Proven experience in the engineering and management of chemical plants

Knowledge of key international engineering standards

• Experience in the design of complex chemical processes (specifically: reactor design, separation processes, heat exchangers, and solids/slurry handling)
