Mott MacDonald in Genoa is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Transition team, delivering thermal project design, owner’s engineer and technical advisory assignments.

You will lead defined work packages, produce high‑quality calculations and reports, and mentor graduates while collaborating with Italy, UK and international colleagues. Chartered status with IMechE or equivalent and fluency in Italian and English are essential.

Competenze

• Chartered status with the IMechE or equivalent experience toward chartered status.
• Demonstrable mechanical engineering design and advisory experience in thermal power/industrial plant environments.
• Experience on international projects and working with multi-disciplinary, international teams.

Mansioni

• Deliver mechanical input to thermal projects from feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
• Prepare and check mechanical calculations, specifications, datasheets, layouts, and design reports.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, process and environmental colleagues to develop integrated solutions.
• Mentor graduates and less experienced engineers through checking and guidance.
• Contribute to bids, scopes of work and delivery plans for mechanical input.
