Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Transition team in Genoa, Italy. You will lead mechanical input from feasibility through detailed design for thermal projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams across Italy, the UK and internationally, and supporting advisory roles and client engagements.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, opportunities to mentor engineers, and a pathway to leadership within our Energy Transition practice in Italy.

Competenze

• Chartered status with IMechE or equivalent.
• Experience in thermal power or industrial plant design.
• Experience on international projects and design reviews.

Mansioni

• Deliver mechanical input to thermal projects from feasibility to detailed design.
• Prepare and check mechanical calculations, datasheets, layouts, specifications and design reports.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, process, controls and environmental teams to develop integrated solutions.
• Support owner's engineer, lender's engineer or technical advisory activities and due diligence.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers with guidance and reviews.
