Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Energy Transition team in Genoa, supporting thermal projects from feasibility to detailed design and advisory work. You will collaborate with colleagues in Italy, the UK and internationally, manage work packages, and mentor graduates while ensuring safety, sustainability and constructability in design outputs.

The role offers a hybrid working model and opportunities to develop towards senior leadership within a global engineering

Competenze

• Demonstrable mechanical engineering design and/or advisory experience in thermal power or energy infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in international projects and design standards across regions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support work-winning activities.

Mansioni

• Deliver mechanical input to thermal projects from feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
• Prepare and review mechanical calculations, specs, datasheets, layouts, and reports.
• Coordinate with civil/electrical/process teams to develop integrated solutions.
• Manage work packages, budgets, and schedules; escalate risks to project leadership.
• Support owner's engineer, lender's engineer, or technical advisory reviews.
