Job summary

Lam Research in Sicily invites a Field Service Engineer to join its Customer Support organization. You will perform on-site repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of Lam's capital equipment at customer sites, travel domestically and internationally as needed, and be the face of Lam delivering service with excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics/Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience also acceptable.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; ability to work in clean room environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s systems at customer sites.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and isolate issues to component level; take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and updates; maintain records and reports coordinating activities between Lam and the customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and represent Lam to customers, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and create customer response action plans to support customer needs.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers.
