Belmond is seeking a senior leader to head the Engineering & Maintenance division for a portfolio of luxury hotels in Southern Europe. You will oversee renovations, CapEx projects, and sustainability programs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will coach and lead engineering teams, partner with Design & Construction, and manage external contractors to deliver reliable systems and exceptional guest experiences. Extensive travel and weekends may be required.

Competenze

10+ years in a senior leadership role in engineering or facilities.
Proven track record in large-scale construction and renovations.
Deep knowledge of hotel engineering installations and fire protection.
Strong grasp of energy efficiency and regulatory codes.

Mansioni

Lead engineering aspects of major renovations and CapEx projects from concept to completion.
Oversee compliance with engineering specifications, budgets, and timelines; supervise commissioning.
Mentor hotel Directors of Engineering and their teams on safety and proactive maintenance.
Conduct property visits and audits for performance and regulatory compliance.
Develop and manage CapEx and OpEx budgets with cost controls.
Drive energy optimization and sustainable technologies to reduce environmental impact.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
Provide lifecycle guidance during renovations and capital projects.
Foster continuous improvement within the Engineering & Maintenance team.
Ensure adherence to Belmond standards and regulatory requirements across properties.
