Job summary

Micron Technology in Avezzano, Italy, seeks a Design/Senior Design Engineer for Auto Place & Route and Digital Implementation in the NVEG group. You will own digital block implementation, floorplanning, clock tree synthesis, routing, and sign-off to meet performance, power, area, and schedule targets.

You will collaborate with RTL, DFT, analog, CAD, and verification teams, and develop AI-assisted workflows to boost design productivity and reliability.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on digital physical design and automated P&R flows.
• Proficiency with Cadence Innovus/Tempus or Synopsys Fusion Compiler/IC Compiler II/PrimeTime.
• Strong floorplanning, clock distribution, timing closure, low-power design.
• Scripting in Tcl, Python, Perl or equivalents.
• Team collaboration across global multi-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Own RTL-to-GDSII physical implementation for digital blocks.
• Develop floorplans, power distribution, timing and routing strategies.
• Drive timing closure across multi-mode/multi-corner scenarios.
• Perform sign-off checks: DRC, LVS, antenna, SI, IR drop, EMC.
• Collaborate with RTL/DFT/analog/CAD teams for tape-out readiness.
• Develop scripts and metrics to automate flows and improve quality.
