Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Avezzano, Italy is seeking a Design/Senior Design Engineer to own end-to-end NAND sequences and algorithms for advanced memory functionalities. You will collaborate across architecture, logic, datapath, analog, test, and product engineering to deliver robust low-level implementations.

The role involves AI-enabled productivity, silicon bring-up support, and cross-functional teamwork to enable new product paths and validation across technology nodes.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
• Hands-on experience developing digital solutions for hardware-controlled systems.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, memory-mapped registers, interrupts.
• Experience with low-level debugging, unit/integration testing, version control, and scripting (Python).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in global multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of NAND sequences and algorithms from requirements to post-silicon validation.
• Develop embedded code for NAND control, initialization, test, calibration, monitoring and recovery sequences.
• Define and manage digital logic interfaces, registers, handshaking mechanisms, interrupts, telemetry, and recovery flows.
• Develop NAND command sequences and control algorithms optimizing latency and reliability.
• Support silicon bring-up, debug, and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
