Job summary

Amaris Consulting in Italy is seeking a Data Engineer on a freelance basis in the Food & Beverage sector. You will design, implement and evolve data solutions to support reporting, CMDB, inventory management and FinOps data capabilities.

You will model data, ensure quality and governance, design data flows and dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data and reporting initiatives. Knowledge of Azure, Snowflake and Power BI is required; English proficiency and strong

Would you like to start a new professional adventure as a Data Engineer in one of our opportunities in the Food & Beverage industry in Italy, on a freelance basis?

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve data solutions supporting Connectivity & Voice products and services, including reporting, CMDB and inventory management, and Network FinOps data capabilities.
• Design and evolve data flows and models, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and governance across data sources, platforms and services.
• Define and maintain documentation covering data models, data flows, interfaces, business rules and integration requirements.
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical solutions supporting operational activities and transformation projects.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective data and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful delivery of data, reporting and governance initiatives.
• Support the adoption and continuous improvement of data products, reporting solutions and governance processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering, Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 4-6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Management, BI or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, data integration, data quality and governance, with hands‑on experience in Power BI and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure, Snowflake, APIs and data integration, as well as CMDB, inventory management or Service Management concepts.
• Professional proficiency in English and strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in Connectivity, Telecom, Network, FinOps or similar environments would be a plus.
• Experience with Power Automate and advanced Microsoft Excel would also be appreciated.
