Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Senior Technician to maintain the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of AWS owned data centers in Italy. You will perform hands-on operation, preventive maintenance, and safety-driven facility management to ensure continuous availability for customers.

This field-based role requires initiative, the ability to follow procedures, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• 4+ years hands-on experience with critical facility operations and maintenance.
• Electrical certification or diploma in electrical field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls).
• Knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems.
• Very good command of English (written and spoken).
• Driving license valid in Italy (required for shift-based schedule).

Mansioni

• Maintain safety standards and safety culture.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Draft and publish SOPs, EOPs and MOPs.
• Review vendor RAMS documentation.
• Perform routine inspections of fire systems and detectors.
• Troubleshoot electro‑mechanical issues and coordinate with team.
• Take daily readings of equipment and temperature/voltages.
• Lead training of new team members and participate in reviews.
• Manage maintenance tickets (CMMS/Incidents).
