Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. in Italy is seeking a Field Engineer to provide full lifecycle support for AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance.

You will lead projects to fit out data centers, manage field engineering activities, and collaborate with Operations, Design, and Construction teams to ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective solutions across regions.

Competenze

• Experience with mission-critical facilities engineering, especially data centers, power generation, or oil & gas facilities.
• Business-level fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willing to travel between Data Center sites, and internationally if required.

Mansioni

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, conduct RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Directly support operational issues with ad‑hoc training, SOP reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions to add capacity and improve availability and efficiency.
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards ensuring reliability of services.
• Lead audits and on-site visits, producing reports with risks and mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning and turnover.
