Turner & Townsend is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager in Milan to lead pre and post-contract cost activities and support large-scale real estate and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, strong English and Italian, and substantial consultancy experience. You’ll manage cost plans, tendering, and client communications within a collaborative, high-performance team.

Competenze

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or equivalent is required.
• Strong English skills + Italian are required.
• Proven cost and/or commercial management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Experience for a period of 5 years for CM/QS, 10 years for SCM and above.
• Good knowledge of all methods of construction and procurement.
• Experienced with, or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applications.
• Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases.
• Collaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Good organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Perform pre and post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variation, and final accounts.
• Complete feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Estimate and cost plan, including presenting the final cost plan.
• Tendering and procurement activities, including managing pre-qualification and tender processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate cost checks and valuations.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to the client.
• Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
• Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Perform cost risk analysis and input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.
• Maintain central feedback and update best practices in estimating.
