Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Lombardy is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to support pre- and post-contract cost management on major real estate and infrastructure projects. You will produce estimates, manage procurement activities and work with clients to keep cost plans on track.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, strong English and Italian, and a collaborative mindset with proficiency in spreadsheets and cost tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or equivalent.
• Strong English skills + Italian.
• Proven cost and/or commercial management experience, ideally within a consultancy.
• Experience for 5 years in CM/QS, 10 years for SCM and above.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and procurement.
• Experience with estimating tools and applications.
• Strong Excel/database skills.
• Collaborative with clients and stakeholders.
• Good multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Strong listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates and cost planning reports.
• Lead procurement and tendering activities including pre-qualification and tender analysis.
• Manage timely cost checks and valuations for projects.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports for clients.
• Interface with clients and consultants across all project stages.
• Contribute to change control, cost variances and final accounts.
• Perform cost risk analysis and support value engineering.
• Capture learning to update best practices in estimating.
