JDL Recruitment is partnering with a leading data centre developer to recruit a Senior Contracts Manager based in Milan. The role requires fluent Italian and English and strong contract management oversight across complex engineering programmes.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, lead risk, change and dispute processes, and ensure governance across internal teams and external partners. A senior stakeholder-facing position offering strategic influence.

Competenze

• 10+ years' relevant professional experience on data centres or complex engineering projects across the full project lifecycle.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
• In depth expert knowledge of contract management, construction processes and commercial management.
• Experience with client side delivery of both pre and post contract commercial activities.
• Experience on global projects and multicultural project teams.
• Experience developing and leveraging strategic relationships across the supply chain.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Provide contract and commercial management on complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Draft, review and manage contracts across data centre construction projects.
• Lead contract negotiations with vendors and contractors to secure favourable terms.
• Develop project-specific contracting approaches and documentation.
• Lead changes, variations and claims in line with change control processes.
• Administer contracts and issue notices to maintain compliance.
• Provide monthly reporting visibility against each contract and project.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for review and approval.
• Develop dispute avoidance strategies and support resolution with Legal.
• Manage vendor relationships and promote constructive collaboration.
