Aieng, an engineering startup in Italy, seeks a Senior CAD/PLM software engineer to build batch pipelines that automate CAD data extraction and validation across thousands of drawings. You will work with Python, C++ and PLM integrations to ensure reliable metadata propagation.

Hybrid position across Italy (Naples, Turin, Rome); fluent English and Italian required; experience with 3D CAD APIs and AI-assisted extraction is expected.

Competenze

• 7–10 years of specific CAD/PLM software development experience.
• ≥ 3 CAD automation tools shipped in production (not PoC).
• CAD internals depth required — not API surface knowledge.

Mansioni

• Build batch pipelines to extract, validate, and inject metadata into DWG/DXF files across datasets of thousands of drawings with structured validation loops.
• Write code that parses engineering PDFs with no mapping table provided, identifying layout zones and drawing structures via OCR and geometry analysis.
• Program against 3D CAD APIs to navigate parametric feature trees, inspect model attributes, and apply targeted corrections (BOM, geometry, attributes).
• Integrate LLM-based extraction pipelines for drawing content where no structured source exists.
• Connect pipelines to PLM environments (Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA) via API; surface results in IBM DOORS and JIRA.
