Job summary

Microgate Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance & Administration team in Bolzano, Italy. You will independently manage a broad range of accounting activities while collaborating with colleagues across functions.

The ideal candidate has an accounting/finance background, experience with Italian VAT, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Dynamics 365 BC is a plus). Italian language is required; German/English are advantages.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company.
• Solid knowledge of Italian accounting principles and VAT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process employee expense reports.
• Manage fixed asset accounting.
• Coordinate insurance-related administration.
• Support VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, Form 770 reporting, and grants/public funding.
• Prepare reports and analyses to support management decisions.

Your Responsibilities

As part of our Finance & Administration team, you will independently manage, while collaborating closely with your colleagues, a broad range of accounting activities, including:

• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Processing employee expense reports
• Managing fixed asset accounting
• Coordinating insurance-related administration
• Supporting the preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, Italian withholding tax reporting (Form 770), and the reporting of grants and public funding
• Preparing reports and financial analyses to support management decisions

Your Profile

We’re looking for someone who works methodically, pays close attention to detail, and is able to manage responsibilities independently.

Ideally, you bring:

• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Previous accounting experience, preferably within a medium-sized manufacturing company
• Solid knowledge of Italian accounting principles and VAT regulations
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)
• Good command of Italian; knowledge of German and English is considered an advantage
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different business functions
