Job summary

BauWatch Italy is seeking an Accountant to lead the development of a full finance and control function for our Italian operation. You will work in Milano within the Italian team, reporting to the Group Finance Director, and contribute to an ambitious international finance setup.

The role requires a strong foundation in corporate finance, Italian tax and financial reporting, and solid SAP experience. A team player with a drive to grow with the organization is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level required or higher.
• Education in corporate finance or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Italian tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with SAP is a strong plus.
• Experience in a medium-sized and growing organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage invoicing and collections.
• Conduct month-end closing and reporting to Group Finance.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax & payroll tax).
• Initiate process optimization within Italian finance.
• Provide financial information to local management.

As an Accountant, you will play a leading role in further professionalizing the administration and setting up a full‑fledged finance and control function for our Italian organization. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the invoicing and collection process.
• Month‑end closing and reporting to the Group.
• Manage compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax & payroll tax).
• Initiate process optimization.
• Provide (financial) information to the local management.
• Your workplace will be in Milano, and you will work within the Italian team. You will report to the Group Finance Director who oversees the centrally organized finance organization.

Job Requirements

What we expect from you

• Higher professional education – Bachelor level minimum
• A completed education in a relevant field (Corporate finance or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Italian tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Solid knowledge and experience with SAP is a strong plus
• Experience in a medium‑sized and growing organization is a plus
• Experience in chartered accountant office is a strong plus
• Excellent command of Italian, and a good command of English is required.
