Job summary

viridiusLAB AG in Pisa, Italy, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the Team Lead Accounting Italy in day-to-day operations and ensure reliable financial processes.

The role covers AP/AR/GL, closings, tax compliance, and process digitalization, with collaboration across our Vienna HQ and international subsidiaries. Fluency in English and knowledge of Italian accounting rules are essential. Permanent full-time with a gross EUR 28,000–32,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Fluent English essential for international coordination with Vienna HQ and colleagues across the group.
• Several years of professional accounting experience, ideally with exposure to international corporate groups.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles and relevant tax regulations.
• Degree or commercial qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or comparable field.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Structured, process-oriented, hands-on approach.
• Strong analytical skills and initiative to improve processes.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Lead Accounting Italy in day-to-day operations.
• Manage the full accounting cycle: AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, payments.
• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings per Italian standards.
• Drive standardization, digitalization of accounting processes.
• Work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and optimize its use.
• Transform accounting processes into structured, repeatable workflows.
• Collaborate with Group Finance at HQ in Vienna and with subsidiaries.
• Support tax audits with external advisors and auditors.
• Participate in group-wide finance projects and harmonization initiatives.

Tasks

• Support the Team Lead Accounting Italy in the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure smooth, reliable financial processes.

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payment processing.

• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with Italian accounting standards.

• Drive the continuous improvement, standardization, and digitalization of accounting processes.

• Work confidently with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and contribute to its ongoing optimization.

• Transform accounting processes from reactive, ad hoc solutions into structured, scalable, and repeatable workflows.

• Collaborate closely with the Group Finance team at our headquarters in Vienna as well as colleagues across our international subsidiaries.

• Support tax audits and work closely with external tax advisors and auditors.

• Participate in group-wide finance projects and accounting process harmonization initiatives.

Requirements

• What You Must Bring

• Fluent English is essential, as you will communicate regularly with our headquarters in Vienna and colleagues across our international group.

• Several years of professional accounting experience, ideally with exposure to international corporate groups, holding structures, or multiple legal entities.

• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles and relevant tax regulations.

• Degree or commercial qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable field (e.g. Laurea in Economia, Ragioneria e Amministrazione).

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a confident command of the Microsoft Office Suite.

• A structured, process-oriented, and hands-on approach to work.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the confidence to improve existing processes.

• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in group accounting, including accounting processes across multiple subsidiaries or legal entities.

• Previous experience working within an international corporate group or reporting to a foreign headquarters.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Involvement in the standardization, digitalization, or harmonization of accounting processes across different entities.
