Westinghouse Electric Italy SpA in Monfalcone, IT, seeks a Senior Accountant to ensure accurate financial data, manage journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes. You will coordinate with global partners and oversee accounting outcomes across multiple teams.

The role reports to the GAC Manager and is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days onsite in Monfalcone. Fluency in Italian and English, plus strong Excel/ERP skills, are essential.

• Daily use of Excel and ERP systems.

Mansioni

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and company accounting policies in all journal booking activities.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual GL journal entries and support month-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
• Oversee financial accounting outcomes of business processes across multiple teams (Fixed Assets, A/P, A/R, Project Accounting, inventories, HR payables, intercompany).
• Ensure timely statutory and statistical reporting (Intrastat, ISTAT, Banca d'Italia).
• Support Global Treasury activities (bank reconciliations, cash forecasting).
• Assist Global Tax with requested financial information.
• Support statutory financial statements and audits.

About The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of corporate financial data. You will be responsible for journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and oversight of accounting outcomes produced by other teams. We are looking for accounting knowledge, the ability to coordinate across multiple remote internal partners, and responsibility for period‑end close processes to deliver accurate financial information.

You will report to the GAC Manager and be located in Monfalcone, Italy. This is a hybrid role based in Monfalcone, Italy, with a requirement to work onsite 2 to 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and company accounting policies in all journal booking activities
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual GL journal entries and support month‑end close processes to ensure all required entries are posted accurately
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with relevant teams
• Oversee financial accounting outcomes of business processes performed by other teams, including Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, consumable inventories, HR payables, and intercompany invoicing
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory and statistical reporting, including Intrastat, Istat, Banca d'Italia, and related requirements
• Support Global Treasury activities, including bank reconciliations and weekly and month‑end cash forecasting
• Support Global Tax by providing requested financial information
• Support the statutory financial statements preparation process and support internal and external audits
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses
• Coordinate with shared services, global finance teams, and remote partners to resolve accounting issues and ensure smooth financial close

Qualifications

• University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar
• +5 years of experience in accounting or financial roles
• Experience within multinational companies, business consulting or audit services, familiarity with standardized financial processes and shared business teams
• USA and ITALIAN GAAP knowledge
• Fluent in Italian and proficient in English
• Daily use of Excel and ERP Systems

The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be €59,000 to €75,100 per year.
