Job summary

Nord Anglia Education's H-FARM International School in Venice seeks a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to design and implement IEPs and PEPs, ensuring students with diverse learning needs have equitable access to the IB curriculum across all school levels.

The role collaborates with teachers, parents and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment, tailor the curriculum, integrate assistive technologies, and support students through key transitions to MYP/DP and admissions

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related field with SEN qualification.
• Strong English (written and spoken); Italian is a plus.
• Background in SEN support, ideally within IB or international school environments.
• Expertise in differentiation, assistive technologies, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and teach students individually, in small groups, or within the whole class.
• Offer emotional guidance to help students build confidence, self-esteem, and social skills.
• Guide and support parents of students with special educational needs.
• Promote inclusive learning across activities; tailor the curriculum to specific learning needs.
• Prepare and adapt teaching methods and educational materials.
• Plan differentiated learning activities and incorporate assistive tools.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Ensure implementation and tracking of IEPs and PEPs.
• Assist students during transitions to MYP, DP, or other schools.
• Evaluate prospective students during admissions.
