Job summary

The International School of Como is hiring a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant on a maternity cover starting February 2027 to support a student with SEN in mainstream classrooms. The role works closely with the SENCO and teachers to help access the curriculum and achieve IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with ASD and/or other SEN.
• Ability to support students within mainstream classrooms.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to students during academic lessons.
• Break down instructions, adapt learning materials, and support organization, executive functioning, note-taking, and study skills.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
