Job summary

Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, tucked in the Portofino hills, invites you to join as Assistant Front Office Manager for the 2027 season. You will support the Front Desk Manager and lead the reception team to deliver exceptional, luxury service to discerning guests.

Fluency in Italian and English is essential, with additional language skills welcomed. This role offers a structured seasonal contract with pathways for continuity across Belmond properties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a luxury 5-star hotel or international chain in a similar role.
• Fluent Italian and English; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Front Desk Manager in day-to-day reception operations.
• Supervise and coordinate reception team activities for efficient service.
• Greet guests and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
• Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and courteously.
• Monitor compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Prepare and reconcile daily financial reports and documentation.
• Assist with updating reservation logs and guest lists.
• Train and mentor reception staff as needed.
