Job summary

Argotec invites applicants for a SAR End-to-End Systems Engineer to drive design and development of SAR-based remote sensing systems, from spaceborne payload to ground segment, data processing, and final products.

You will translate mission objectives into system-level requirements, lead payload concepts, and oversee end-to-end analyses while collaborating with multiple teams to ensure successful system integration and validation.

Qualifications

• Solid background in SAR principles and spaceborne systems.
• End-to-end SAR system design including payload and ground.
• Familiarity with SAR performance metrics (resolution, swath, NESZ).
• Experience with requirements management and system budgets.
• Knowledge of EO mission ground segment architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain end-to-end architecture of SAR systems.
• Translate objectives into system-level requirements with traceability.
• Lead SAR payload concept definition with engineering teams.
• Drive trade-offs on performance, data volume, and processing.
• Perform end-to-end performance analyses (resolution, latency, quality).
• Ensure consistency between payload and processing, calibration, products.
• Support system/payload reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, QR).
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
• Contribute to in-orbit commissioning and validation strategies.
• Define SAR data products, processing levels, KPIs.
