Job summary

MetaSensing BV is seeking a Senior Radar Payload System Engineer to join the engineering team, driving the technical aspects of SAR payloads for Earth Observation and science missions.

The role covers the full project lifecycle, ensuring interface consistency, and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams with customers and partners. Proficiency in English, a Master’s degree, and 8–10 years in space systems are required; Italian work eligibility and 40 h/week on-site in Italy are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Space Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in Space Systems Engineering and Radar Payload development.
• Experience with radar payload design, interfaces, and ECSS standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system engineering activities for radar payload developments.
• Define and maintain system requirements, architecture and budgets.
• Coordinate payload-to-platform interfaces with spacecraft manufacturers and external partners.
• Ensure technical consistency across multidisciplinary teams (RF, electronics, mechanics, thermal, software, AIT and operations).
• Prepare technical documentation and project reviews in line with customer and ECSS requirements.
• Support integration, verification, validation, commissioning and operations readiness.
