Job summary

ABB i Distribution Solutions söker en testingenjör som fokuserar på säkerhet, kvalitet och produktivitet. Rollen inkluderar att följa existerande testprotokoll och utveckla nya tester i samarbete med tvärfunktionella team.

Du analyserar resultat, utför verifiering/validering av nya produkter och leverantörer samt bidrar till förbättring av testmetoder. Hybrid arbetssätt tillämpas och konkurrenskraftig ersättning erbjuds.

Qualifications

• Civilingenjör i mekanik eller elektroteknik med minst 1 års erfarenhet.
• Teknisk gymnasial utbildning med minst 3 års erfarenhet i liknande roll.
• Goda manuella och praktiska färdigheter.
• Analysförmåga och tolkning av data.
• Teamarbete, organisationsförmåga och problemlösning.
• Du behärskar italienska i tal och skrift samt har god engelska.

Responsibilities

• Genomföra tester med fokus på säkerhet, effektivitet, kvalitet och produktivitet för att säkerställa krav.
• Tillämpa testprotokoll och standarder samt utveckla nya tester.
• Genomföra verifierings- och valideringstester av nya produkter och leverantörer.
• Utföra fel- och rotorsaksanalys för apparater och växellådor.
• Förbereda och skriva testberättelser (DMAIC).
• Samarbeta för att optimera testprotokoll och testkapacitet.
• Följa säkerhetssystem och rapportera osäkra förhållanden i samarbete med HSE.

Quality Control Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will conduct tests with a focus on safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity to ensure that products and systems meet stated requirements. You will apply various test protocols and current industry standards to maintain high quality levels, collaborating in the development of new test protocols to verify the integrity of new products and improve existing ones.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Conducting long‑term reliability tests on mass production.

• Analyzing test results according to applicable standards to verify product compliance.

• Zero series: conducting validation tests to ensure the quality of new products and suppliers, and managing assigned validation projects.

• Performing failure and root cause analysis for apparatus and switchgears.

• Carrying out activities necessary for the preparation and drafting of test reports (DMAIC).

• Collaborating with team members to optimize test protocols and capabilities, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of test outcomes.

• Safety: using safety systems to perform work, contributing to an accident‑free workplace. Reporting unsafe situations when observed and working with local HSE teams to improve safety systems.

Qualifications for the Role

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

• Alternatively, technical high school diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.

• Good manual and hands‑on technical skills.

• Analysis capability and interpretation of data results.

• Teamwork, organizational skills, and problem‑solving aptitude.

• You are at ease communicating in Italian and have a good command of English.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €36.000,00

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
