Job summary

BearingPoint is seeking a Senior Consultant to help clients transform procurement and inventory management with SAP S/4HANA. You will lead SAP MM implementations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, configure, and optimize end-to-end processes for global clients.

You will analyze requirements, develop functional specs, run workshops, and ensure successful data migration and testing. Fluency in English is required; Italian is a plus, with domestic and international travel

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of SAP consulting experience with MM focus.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA knowledge in procurement and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to SAP S/4HANA MM implementations, transformations, and rollouts.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs and SAP configurations.
• Support procurement and inventory management processes (purchasing, goods receipts, invoice verification, inventory movements).
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders on SAP MM capabilities and best practices.
• Coordinate with other SAP modules and technical teams for end-to-end process integration.
• Participate in testing, data migration, cutover, training, and post-go-live support.
• Build trusted client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team and help clients transform their procurement and inventory management processes with SAP S/4HANA.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As part of an international team, you will deliver client-facing SAP projects, supporting organizations as they design, implement, and improve their SAP S/4HANA solutions. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to translate business needs into effective, sustainable outcomes, including:

• Leading or contributing to SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) implementations, transformations, and rollouts.
• Analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional designs, process flows, and SAP configuration.
• Supporting procurement and inventory management processes, including purchasing, requisitioning, goods receipts, invoice verification, and inventory movements.
• Facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and advising clients on SAP MM capabilities and leading practices.
• Coordinating with other SAP modules and technical teams to support end-to-end process integration.
• Contributing to testing, data migration, cutover, training, and post-go-live support, with close attention to detail.
• Building trusted client relationships, managing stakeholder expectations, and supporting project teams in delivering measurable business results.
• You have a degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in SAP consulting, with a strong focus on Materials Management (MM) processes and solutions.
• You have experience with SAP S/4HANA and a strong understanding of procurement and inventory management processes.
• You can gather and analyze requirements, develop functional specifications, and communicate recommendations clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• You demonstrate analytical thinking, resilience, initiative, and a proactive, results-oriented approach to solving problems and adapting to changing project needs.
• You have strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills, with a collaborative and client-oriented attitude.
• You are comfortable working in an international environment and communicating in English; proficiency in Italian is an advantage. Other European languages are a plus.
• You are willing to travel domestically and internationally when project needs require it.
