Job summary

BearingPoint in Italy is seeking a Senior SAP Consultant to drive finance transformation with SAP S/4HANA FI/CO and CO-PA capabilities for international clients.

You will deliver end-to-end SAP projects, analyze requirements, design configurations, run workshops, and guide data migration and testing. Travel locally and abroad may be required, and fluency in English is essential. Strong communication and stakeholder management are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, IT or related field is required.
• At least 5 years of SAP consulting experience with a focus on FI/CO and CO-PA.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and financial accounting/controlling processes.
• Excellent communication with business and technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), including CO-PA and profitability analysis.
• Analyze requirements and translate into functional designs, processes, and SAP configurations.
• Design and support profitability analysis processes, account-based CO-PA, margin analysis, and derivation rules.
• Support profitability reporting, allocations, planning, and analysis to understand revenue, costs, and margins.
• Facilitate workshops and advise on SAP FI/CO-PA capabilities and best practices.
• Coordinate with SAP modules to support end-to-end process integration and data flows.
• Contribute to testing, data migration, cutover, training, and post-go-live support.
• Build trusted client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team and help clients transform their financial management, controlling, and profitability analysis processes with SAP S/4HANA.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As part of an international team, you will deliver client-facing SAP projects, supporting organizations as they design, implement, and improve their SAP S/4HANA solutions. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to translate business needs into effective, sustainable outcomes, including:

• Leading or contributing to SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), including Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), implementations, transformations, and rollouts.
• Analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional designs, process flows, and SAP configuration.
• Designing and supporting profitability analysis processes, including account-based CO-PA, margin analysis, characteristics, value fields, and derivation rules.
• Supporting profitability reporting, allocations, planning, and analysis to help clients understand revenue, costs, and margins across products, customers, and markets.
• Facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and advising clients on SAP FI/CO-PA capabilities and leading practices.
• Coordinating with SAP modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and other technical teams to support end-to-end process integration and financial data flows.
• Contributing to testing, data migration, cutover, training, and post-go-live support, with close attention to detail.
• Building trusted client relationships, managing stakeholder expectations, and supporting project teams in delivering measurable business results.
• You have a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in SAP consulting, with a strong focus on SAP FI/CO and CO-PA processes and solutions.
• You have experience with SAP S/4HANA and a strong understanding of financial accounting, controlling, and profitability analysis processes.
• You can gather and analyze requirements, develop functional specifications, and communicate recommendations clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• You demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, initiative, and a proactive, results-oriented approach to adapting to changing project needs.
• You have strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills, with a collaborative and client-oriented attitude.
• You are comfortable working in an international environment and communicating in English; proficiency in Italian is an advantage. Other European languages are a plus.
• You are willing to travel domestically and internationally when project needs require it.
