e-GEOS, in Rome, is hiring a Geospatial Platform Engineer focused on AI-enabled EO solutions. You will design, implement and operate scalable cloud-native platforms supporting RAG systems, geospatial catalogs and AI workflows.

The role targets early-career engineers with up to 5 years of experience, offering hybrid work, DevOps practices, and collaboration with AI engineers and scientists to productionize prototypes.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Up to 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud platforms, geospatial apps or platform engineering.
• Solid Python development skills and knowledge of modern web architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure and containerization with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices; strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Good Italian and English language skills.

Mansioni

• Transform prototypes into secure, scalable platform services and products.
• Develop AI-supported search, workflows, automation, reporting and decision support.
• Build and integrate REST APIs, microservices and backend components for geospatial data and AI services.
• Operate software and AI services on Kubernetes-based hybrid/cloud environments.
