Leonardo S.p.A. in Rome is seeking a Geospatial Platform Engineer with an AI focus to design, build and operate cloud-native platforms for Earth Observation and AI use cases.

You will collaborate with AI engineers, remote sensing scientists, and product owners to turn prototypes into scalable, secure production services in a hybrid cloud environment. Growth toward technical ownership of the platform stack is expected.

Competenze

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field and up to 5 years of software/Platform experience.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with modern web architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD concepts, DevOps practices and source control.
• Proficient in English and Italian; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Mansioni

• Design, implement and operate cloud-native data and platform services for EO/AI solutions.
• Develop REST APIs and microservices for geospatial data access and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and scientists to move prototypes to production-grade systems.
• Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring for reliability and security.
