Job summary

Leica Biosystems in the Roma/Lazio region seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site and remote support for Advanced Staining instruments, preferably based in Roma. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair in a biomedical setting.

Responsibilities include customer communication, timely service documentation to ISO/FDA standards, and applying service bulletins. Occasional travel and service-revenue contributions are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in Biomedical industry.
• Experience with Advanced Staining instruments is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on various Advanced Staining instruments.
• Effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external customers within established time guidelines in order to meet customer’s expectations
• Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner in order to comply with ISO, FDA, and Company policies
• Ensure the on‑time and appropriate application of all published Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that are issued by the Business Unit recommending or mandating updates or changes to the Instruments in the field
• Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives and service engineers with system configurations and upgrades, and provide input on ways to improve financial performance in order to generate service revenue
