Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Junior HR Generalist to support the EMEA region in a remote role. You will work with leaders across the organization to respond to HR inquiries, manage onboarding processes, and ensure accurate HRIS data while upholding GDPR compliance.

You will collaborate with managers and executives to drive people initiatives, support payroll coordination, and contribute to building a world-class HR function across multiple regions. A proactive, independent mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Entry-level HR/People experience is beneficial, ideally in tech.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized and work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times per year for internal events.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support by answering team members’ questions and onboarding inquiries.
• Maintain HRIS with accurate changes and new joiners.
• Own global projects (engagement, training or culture initiatives).
• Partner with managers and employees to support HR processes and people strategy.
• Coordinate onboarding, country-specific docs, and payroll-related support.
