Jobgether is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems for healthcare, agriculture, education, and international development. You will collaborate with researchers and field teams to translate applied AI research into reliable products and open-source resources.

The role offers substantial technical ownership, mentorship to partner staff, and opportunities to contribute to responsible AI practices across a global nonprofit network.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in mathematics and deep learning.
• At least 4 years of hands-on machine learning engineering experience.
• At least 1–2 years building LLM-powered applications, including production-grade agents.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on implementation.
• Prompting for agentic systems and model/tool selection.
• Experience evaluating AI systems with data-centric methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, deploy, and improve production-grade AI systems for real-world nonprofits.
• Contribute to open-source AI evaluation infrastructure and tools.
• Translate research findings into reusable tools and playbooks for partner organizations.
• Develop rigorous evaluation methods, datasets, and performance metrics.
• Build and iterate on production-grade LLM applications and agentic systems.
• Release technical innovations as open-source contributions when appropriate.
• Document decisions and maintain engineering standards.
