Pirelli, a global leader in tires, seeks a Mechanical Engineer for HQ Motorsport R&D. You will develop finite element models to simulate tyre behavior, apply tyre mechanics principles, and analyze test results in a fast-growing international setting.

Candidates should hold a Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years in Product Development or FEM/FEA, and be fluent in English and Italian. Proficiency in Abaqus/Ansys is required; Matlab and Python knowledge is a plus.

The selected candidate will join the HQ Motorsport R&D Team and will have the opportunity to operate in a dynamic, high-performing, and fast-growing international environment within the Global Business Unit Motorsport. From day one, the role will play a key part in providing technical support for tyre development aimed at supplying major global car manufacturers in the Motorsport segment.

YOUR CORE ACTIVITIES

• Developing finite element models using Abaqus to simulate static and dynamic properties of tyres in a Motorsport environment;
• Using the principles of tyre mechanics for tyre design purposes;
• Analyzing indoor and outdoor test results;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company to effectively collect and share information.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields;
• 1-3 years of professional experience in Product Development and/or FEA/FEM methodologies;
• Fluency in English and Italian;
• Good knowledge of software required for the definition of a FEM model (experience with Abaqus or similar software such as Ansys, Patran, Nastran or Marc);
• Good knowledge of Matlab and Python;
• Knowledge of other Programming Languages, such as C++, will be considered a plus.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• The employment contract will be regulated by "Gomma Plastica" National Collective Bargaining Agreement
• The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than 30.500,00 Euro.
• The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills and qualifications.
• The position's compensation package also includes a variable component and a competitive welfare and benefits offer. Further details will be provided at a later stage and will be subject to the applicable Company policies.
