Pirelli is seeking a Cyber Tyre Algorithms Engineer to turn the Smart Tyre vision into real automotive solutions. You will develop and validate estimation and control algorithms, test prototypes on vehicles, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring new capabilities from concept to road-ready implementations.

The role combines software, hardware, and experiments to push the safety and performance boundaries of modern tires and vehicles.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Strong background in vehicle dynamics, state estimation, and control.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, Python and C/C++.

The Cyber Tyre Algorithms Engineer will contribute to the development of innovative algorithms that transform the Smart Tyre vision into real-world automotive solutions. The mission is to enable new vehicle functionalities that enhance safety, driving performance, and the overall driving experience.

The role combines algorithm development, experimental validation, and hands-on engineering. YOUR CORE ACTIVITIES

• Develop and validate innovative estimation and control algorithms for Smart Tyre and vehicle applications.
• Design, implement, and test prototypes using embedded systems and rapid prototyping platforms.
• Perform experimental activities, including vehicle testing, data acquisition, and track validation.
• Analyze vehicle data and simulation results to improve algorithm performance and robustness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring new functionalities from concept to real-world implementation.
• Explore innovative technologies and approaches to continuously enhance Smart Tyre solutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or equivalent disciplines.
• 2-3 years of experience in Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Control Systems, State Estimation, ADAS, or related automotive fields.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and experience in estimation and control-oriented algorithm development.
• Good programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or similar environments.
• Experience in experimental data analysis, algorithm validation, vehicle testing, and simulation environments.
• Good proficiency in English.

WHAT PUTS YOU IN POLE POSITION

• Experience with embedded systems, rapid prototyping platforms, and hands‑on engineering projects.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques, cloud‑based data analysis environments, or tyre‑related applications.
• Strong creativity, engineering curiosity, and passion for experimentation.
• Pragmatic problem‑solving attitude with the ability to transform ideas into validated solutions.
• Strong ownership and ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• The employment contract will be regulated by "Gomma Plastica" National Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than €32.000.
• The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
• The position's compensation package also includes a variable component and a competitive welfare and benefits offer. Further details will be provided at a later stage and will be subject to the applicable Company policies.
