Job summary

Pirelli & C. S.p.A. in Milan is seeking an R&D Motorsport - Predevelopment & FEA Specialist to advance tyre development for global manufacturers. The role emphasizes FEM modeling, simulation, and collaboration within a fast-moving international team.

You will develop Abaqus-based models, interpret test data, and contribute to innovative projects in an environment that values technical excellence and continuous learning. Fluency in English and Italian is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in Product Development and/or FEA/FEM methodologies.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Good knowledge of software required for the definition of a FEM model (experience with Abaqus or similar software such as Ansys, Patran, Nastran or Marc).
• Good knowledge of Matlab and Python; knowledge of C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing finite element models using Abaqus to simulate static and dynamic properties of tyres in a Motorsport environment.
• Using the principles of tyre mechanics for tyre design purposes.
• Analyzing indoor and outdoor test results.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the company to effectively collect and share information.
