Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the deployment of the quality strategy within a local unit in Italy. You will lead prevention, continuous improvement, and robust root-cause analysis to meet customer expectations and sustainable operations.

You will define quality Gates, support early-stage product development, and drive actions to improve safety, efficiency, and profitability in the value chain, coordinating with multiple functions and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in similar quality roles preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and Minitab.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define quality requirements, quality gates and control plans for new launches.
• Support product development in early stage to ensure quality specs.
• Define quality procedures and deliver quality trainings.
• Lead actions to improve safety, efficiency, quality and productivity in the value chain.
• Be a reference for suppliers/customers during process audits to ensure compliance of practices.
• Manage non-conformity issues and conduct RCA using DMAIC approach.
