Tenova is seeking a Proposal Engineer to join the Cold Rolling Downstream Team, supporting the preparation and coordination of technical offers in line with client requirements and cost estimates.

You will coordinate proposal development, define plant layouts, support risk analyses, interface with Engineering, and ensure consistency between technical scope and costs. Fluent English is mandatory; CRM and SAP knowledge is required.

Competenze

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• Knowledge of CRM and SAP is mandatory.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams.

Mansioni

• Coordinate technical development of proposals, ensuring alignment between client specifications, internal standards, and supplier input.
• Define preliminary plant layouts, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical feasibility.
• Support risk analysis and identify technical and execution risks.
• Interface with Engineering to consolidate technical documentation, material lists, and scope definition.
• Ensure consistency between technical scope and cost estimates and identify gaps or optimization opportunities.
• Prepare and integrate technical documentation for the final offer submission.
• Monitor progress of proposal development and take corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers for final validation and submission of the offer.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to market and technology monitoring within the cold rolling sector.

Proposal Engineer

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join our Cold Rolling Downstream Team, supporting the preparation and coordination of technical offers in line with client requirements, internal standard and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the technical development of proposals, ensuring alignment between client specifications, internal standards, and supplier input.
• Define and validate preliminary plant layouts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and technical constraints.
• Support risk analysis activities, contributing to the identification of technical and execution risks.
• Interface with Engineering to consolidate technical documentation, material lists, and scope definition.
• Ensure consistency between technical scope and cost estimates, identifying gaps or optimization opportunities.
• Prepare and integrate technical documentation for the final offer submission.
• Monitor progress of proposal development, ensuring timely execution and corrective actions when required.
• Contribute to the evaluation of suppliers’ quotations and technical alignment.
• Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers in the final validation and submission of the offer.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to market and technology monitoring within the cold rolling sector.

What we ask for

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• Good knowledge of contract types and their main features, including international contracts.
• Knowledge of CRM and SAP is mandatory.
• Knowledge of CAD Software, basic automation and data analysis tools is considered a plus.
• Fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken) and additional language is an added value.
• Strong teamwork, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

For the position, the starting gross annual salary will be from€ 35.000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s seniority, experience, and skills, as well as the outcome of the selection process.
