Job summary

Rotork is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Porcari, Lucca site on a 9-month contract. You will design, implement and document shop floor processes, lead continuous improvement, audits, and provide technical support to drive efficiency, quality and productivity.

A hands-on engineer with Lean tools and CAD skills will fit well in our collaborative team. Fluent Italian and professional English are required, with 5+ years in manufacturing engineering and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a Technical Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or Industrial Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in an engineering-led production environment manufacturing electromechanical products.
• Practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and process improvement tools, with a proven ability to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies, including: 5S, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Analysis, Gap Analysis, Timing Methods
• Proficiency in data analysis, process performance measurement, and root cause analysis.
• Experience using CAD software, including AutoCAD, Solid Edge .
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Fluent Italian (advanced level) and professional English (minimum B2 level).

• Suggest new processes and equipment where applicable and appropriate.
