Rotork in Porcari, Lucca, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 9-month contract to drive continuous improvements on the production floor. You will design, implement and document shop floor processes, support audits, and provide technical issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a Technical Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or Industrial Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in an engineering-led production environment manufacturing electromechanical products.
• Practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and process improvement tools, with a proven ability to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies, including: 5S, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Analysis, Gap Analysis, Timing Methods
• Proficiency in data analysis, process performance measurement, and root cause analysis.
• Experience using CAD software, including AutoCAD, Solid Edge .
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Fluent Italian (advanced level) and professional English (minimum B2 level).

Responsabilités

• Design, implement and document shop floor processes.
• Partake in audits, technical support and problem investigations/resolutions with a view to suggest new processes and equipment where applicable and appropriate.
• Drive continuous improvements of production tasks and processes during a transformational period of developments and efficiency gains.
